Members of law enforcement and the school system conducted four drug dog scans within two weeks. No drugs were found.
Two routine, random drug dog scans were performed at Fallston Middle and High schools on Feb. 23. The scan at Fallston High School resulted in an alert, but no controlled dangerous substances were found.
A dog under the direction of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office was used at both locations.
A police dog sniffed 336 lockers at Fallston Middle School. The 25-minute scan produced no alerts.
The 43-minute scan at Fallston High School involved 376 lockers.
On Monday, a drug dog scan was also performed at North Harford High School in Pylesville.
A police dog from the sheriff’s office sniffed 392 lockers at the school; the 20-minute scan produced no alerts.
The scans are performed as part of the school system’s commitment to keeping illicit drugs out of the schools, according to a press release from the school system.
On Thursday, a drug dog scan was performed at Magnolia Middle School in Joppa.
A police dog sniffed 360 lockers being sniffed by the dog.
The 25-minute scan produced one alert that resulted, but no controlled dangerous substances were found.
