The North Harford Hawks (9-6 overall, 7-2 Susquehanna) moved into a tie for second place in the Susquehanna (lower) Division on Wednesday night with a tight, 46-44 home-court victory over Harford Tech (6-9 overall, 4-6 Susquehanna).

The Hawks’ Ryan Burghauser led his squad with 21 points and six rebounds, while teammate Jake Duarte netted 12 points in the win. Tyler Campbell posted six points and six rebounds for North Harford.

With their 7-2 lower-division record, the Hawks are now even with the Patterson Mill squad, one game behind the 8-1 Fallston Cougars.

Huskies beaten

Patterson Mill (10-4 overall, 7-2 Susquehanna) dropped just its second lower-division contest of the season on Wednesday night, losing 61-48 to the visiting North East Indians.

The two squads were tied 18-18 at the halftime buzzer.

Reggie Daniels led the Huskies in two categories with 12 points and eight rebounds. Mike Eckart recorded seven points and five rebounds in the loss, while Adam LaFleur netted eight points for the Huskies. Patterson Mill’s J.J. Butler had four points.

Rams win big

Last Friday night, Edgewood (7-6 overall, 1-4 Chesapeake) topped the visiting Forest Park squad, 81-57.

Through two quarters of play, the Rams led their guests, 42-26.

Jamahl Ralls scored 27 points to lead the Rams’ offense, while Lawrence Hicks had 16 points and 10 rebounds in the victory. Edgewood’s Dorien Rochester recorded 11 points, while teammate Michael Coleman registered eight points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Seth Higgins posted six points and 11 rebounds for the Rams.
